About ZenOne
ZenOne is building the operating system for independent dental practices.
Today, we help practices discover, purchase, and manage dental supplies through a modern B2B marketplace.
But we believe this is only the beginning.
Our long-term vision is to create a new category of back-office software spanning purchasing, inventory, budgeting, vendor management, operational workflows, and AI-powered decision-making. These workflows often live in spreadsheets, clipboards, disconnected tools, and tribal knowledge. We believe they deserve a modern operating system.
We are still defining what this category becomes, so we are looking for a builder, systems thinker, and strategic product partner – not someone who simply executes tickets.
If you’re excited about helping define how independent dental practices operate for the next decade, we’d love to meet you.
About the Role
As Lead Product Designer, you will own the product design process from discovery to delivery.
You will work directly with the CEO, engineering team, and customers to understand real-world problems, identify opportunities, and design solutions that create meaningful impact.
A key part of this role is spending time with customers – understanding how dental assistants, office managers, and practice owners actually work, where friction exists, and where software can make their day simpler.
This role goes far beyond designing individual features.
You’ll help define the principles, systems, and product foundations that will guide ZenOne for years to come. Many of the workflows we are building have never been standardized in dentistry, giving you the opportunity to influence not only our product, but an emerging category.
You’ll help shape experiences across our marketplace platform, website, and future mobile applications (iOS and Android).
You’ll also mentor one Junior/UI Designer and help establish scalable design practices as ZenOne continues to grow.
This is a hands-on leadership role. While you’ll mentor others over time, your primary responsibility is designing outstanding products, not managing a large design organization.
What You’ll Do
-
-
- Partner directly with the CEO, engineering team, and customers to solve complex product challenges.
- Spend time observing customers and understanding how practices purchase, organize, and manage supplies.
- Translate customer insights into new product opportunities and actionable design solutions.
- Think beyond individual features and design complete operational systems.
- Brainstorm solutions after customer conversations – not simply document requirements.
- Lead the end-to-end product design process – from discovery and research through user flows, prototyping, testing, and final UI.
- Simplify complex marketplace and operational workflows into intuitive user experiences.
- Balance business goals, user needs, and technical constraints to create practical solutions.
- Collaborate closely with engineering throughout implementation to ensure high-quality execution.
- Facilitate brainstorming sessions and collaborative workshops.
- Continuously improve the product through customer feedback, analytics, and research.
- Build and evolve our design system, research practices, and product design processes.
- Mentor and support one Junior/UI Designer.
-
What We’re Looking For
-
-
- 6-10+ years of experience designing digital products.
- Strong experience designing complex B2B SaaS, marketplace, enterprise, healthcare, or operational software.
- Experience working in startup or high-growth environments.
- Strong product thinking and systems thinking.
- Ability to simplify complex operational workflows into intuitive software experiences.
- Experience conducting customer interviews, discovery sessions, and usability testing.
- Strong UX, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma.
- Experience collaborating closely with engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working directly with executives and customers.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Russian language skills are a plus. While English is our working language, much of our engineering and product team also speaks Russian. Being able to communicate in Russian can make day-to-day collaboration, brainstorming, and product discussions easier.
-
You’ll Be Successful Here If You…
-
-
- Think in systems, not just screens.
- Generate ideas after talking with customers rather than waiting for requirements.
- Enjoy understanding the “why” before designing the solution.
- Are comfortable working with ambiguity and creating clarity.
- Love collaborating with engineers and solving difficult technical challenges.
- Take ownership from discovery through launch.
- Care about measurable business outcomes – not just beautiful interfaces.
- Move quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Enjoy building products, processes, and design foundations from the ground up.
- Want to help shape the future of an emerging product category.
-
Your First 90 Days
Your first 90 days are about understanding our customers, learning how independent dental practices operate, and helping establish the design foundations that ZenOne will build upon for years to come.

- Begin establishing scalable design principles, research practices, and design systems.
- Demonstrate ownership, curiosity, and the ability to independently drive meaningful product decisions.
-
Working Style & Expectations

If you are energized by solving complex operational problems, designing systems instead of just screens, and building products that create measurable impact, we would love to hear from you.
