About ZenOne

ZenOne is building the operating system for independent dental practices.

Today, we help practices discover, purchase, and manage dental supplies through a modern ordering and inventory platform.

But we believe this is only the beginning.

Through ZenOne, we have access to some of the most successful independent dentists, practice owners, operators, manufacturers, and experts in the country. We believe there is an enormous amount of knowledge inside these practices that isn’t being documented or shared well.

At the same time, we think professional content in dentistry is overdue for an overhaul.

Too much valuable knowledge still gets packaged the same way: find an expert, build a 40-slide presentation, schedule a 60-minute webinar, send an email blast, upload the recording — and move on.

We want to build something different.

We’re going on the road to document great dental practices, talk to the people behind them, understand what they’re doing differently, and make those lessons useful to thousands of other dental professionals.

If you’re excited about helping reinvent how professional content is created and consumed in dentistry, we’d love to meet you.

About the Role

As Media & Content Lead, you will help build ZenOne’s media and content operation from the ground up.

Our approach is simple:

Document → Explain → Extract.

Document. Go where the interesting people and businesses are. Capture their conversations, systems, decisions, mistakes, workflows, and stories.

Explain. Turn what we learn into compelling long-form stories, interviews, educational programs, webinars, and modern professional education.

Extract. Find every useful idea inside that material and distribute it in the format where people will actually consume it — YouTube, Shorts, Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, newsletters, webinars, and whatever comes next.

A two-day visit to an exceptional dental practice shouldn’t produce one video. It should produce weeks of valuable content.

A great webinar shouldn’t disappear after 60 minutes. It could become a YouTube episode, ten short videos, a newsletter, a checklist, a LinkedIn discussion, and the starting point for another story.

We’re going to create an enormous amount of raw material.

Your job is to turn that raw material into the ZenOne media machine.

This is a hands-on role. You won’t inherit a finished content strategy or a large production team. You’ll help us figure out what to create, find the best stories, edit and publish content yourself, learn what works, and build the systems and eventually the team around it.

What You’ll Do

  • Help define ZenOne’s overall content and media strategy.
  • Edit short-form video quickly and consistently.
  • Turn interviews, customer visits, webinars, events, and long-form conversations into compelling content.
  • Identify hooks, stories, lessons, and unexpected moments inside raw footage.
  • Create and adapt content for YouTube, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other platforms.
  • Brainstorm new shows, series, formats, campaigns, and content experiments.
  • Own and manage the editorial calendar and publishing schedule across platforms.
  • Help create and publish newsletters.
  • Help organize and produce webinars and educational programming.
  • Rethink traditional dental webinars and continuing education for a YouTube-native world.
  • Connect long-form video, short-form video, newsletters, webinars, and social media into one content system.
  • Develop creative social campaigns and contests for prospective and existing ZenOne members.
  • Work closely with videographers to plan shoots and make sure we’re capturing the right material before the cameras start rolling.
  • Coordinate with customers, dentists, guests, partners, and internal team members.
  • Track content performance and use the data to continuously improve what we create.
  • Move quickly from idea → creation → publishing → learning.
  • Help establish the processes, standards, and systems needed to scale the content operation.
  • Over time, help hire and manage additional editors, videographers, creators, freelancers, and other members of the content team.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience creating and editing short-form video.
  • Deep familiarity with Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and modern content formats.
  • Strong instincts for hooks, pacing, storytelling, captions, and audience retention.
  • Ability to edit fast, not just beautifully.
  • Ability to look through messy raw footage and find the story inside it.
  • Strong creative instincts and the ability to generate ideas rather than wait for assignments.
  • Experience managing a multi-platform content calendar and publishing schedule.
  • Strong organizational and project-management skills.
  • Comfortable working directly with executives, customers, dentists, and industry experts.
  • Comfortable traveling regularly throughout the United States.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and schedules.
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Experience with newsletters, webinars, podcasts, YouTube, community building, educational content, or social campaigns is a major plus.

Dental experience is not required. In fact, coming from outside dentistry may be an advantage. We’re looking for someone who can bring fresh eyes to an industry that has produced professional content largely the same way for a long time.

You’ll Be Successful Here If You…

  • You have a sense of Extreme Ownership
  • See 20 pieces of content where someone else sees one interview.
  • Naturally recognize interesting stories, hooks, and moments.
  • Think about distribution while content is still being created.
  • Generate ideas instead of waiting for a content brief.
  • Are willing to open the footage and edit something yourself.
  • Move quickly without sacrificing taste and quality.
  • Care about what people actually watch, read, share, and learn from – not just what looks polished.
  • Are comfortable experimenting and abandoning ideas that don’t work.
  • Can stay organized while managing multiple channels, shoots, guests, and deadlines.
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and creating clarity.
  • Enjoy traveling, meeting interesting people, and asking good questions.
  • Want to build a media operation rather than simply manage a social media account.

Your First 90 Days

Your first 90 days are about understanding ZenOne, our customers, our audience, and the opportunity to build a different kind of dental media platform.

Success during your first 90 days will look like:

  • Develop a deep understanding of ZenOne, our customers, and the dental industry.
  • Spend meaningful time with dental practices and understand the stories and knowledge worth documenting.
  • Establish a consistent editorial and publishing rhythm across our primary channels.
  • Build a repeatable system for turning long-form raw material into short-form and written content.
  • Help develop the format and distribution strategy for webinars and educational content.
  • Identify the content formats, topics, and personalities that resonate most with our audience.
  • Establish a practical content calendar and production workflow.
  • Begin defining the metrics we use to understand what is working.
  • Develop a clear point of view on what ZenOne’s media operation should become.
  • Demonstrate ownership, speed, curiosity, and the ability to independently turn ideas into published work.

Working Style & Expectations

ZenOne is a high-ownership, fast-paced environment. We value transparency, intellectual curiosity, clear priorities, measurable impact, and thoughtful debate.

This is not a job for the faint of heart.

Priorities will change. Schedules will change. Trips will come up. Sometimes an opportunity will be too interesting to wait until next month’s content calendar.

You’ll need to think on your feet, work with different personalities, recognize interesting moments while they’re happening, and occasionally throw away the original plan because you found a better story.

Sometimes you’ll receive clear direction.

Sometimes you’ll receive three hours of footage and hear:

“There’s something great in here. Find it.”

You should be excited by that.

You’ll have direct access to leadership, customers, industry experts, and the people whose stories we’re documenting. We expect you to challenge ideas – including the CEO’s – when you believe there’s a better way to tell the story or reach the audience.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary: $75,000–$95,000
  • Annual performance bonus
  • 100% company-paid base health insurance for employees and their families
  • Four weeks of paid vacation
  • One additional week off during the Christmas holiday
  • Remote-first work environment
  • Regular travel to customers, events, and content shoots
  • High ownership and autonomy
  • Opportunity to build a new media and content function from its earliest stages

Why Join ZenOne?

Most content roles ask you to manage an existing calendar.

This one asks you to help build the machine.

You’ll have access to fascinating people, successful dental practices, entrepreneurs, manufacturers, and experts across the country – and the freedom to figure out the most interesting way to tell their stories.

We’re not looking for someone to inherit a content department.

We’re looking for someone who wants to build one.

And we’re not interested in producing more content simply because the internet needs another post.

We want to rethink how dental professionals learn, discover ideas, and consume professional content.

If you’re energized by finding great stories, moving quickly, experimenting with new formats, and building something from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you.
