The Challenge
After taking over the practice, the new owner faced inflated supply costs and a disorganized back office. The previous setup relied on a single vendor with no real inventory system in place. Managing supplies became time-consuming and inefficient, with no visibility or control over spending. The team needed a more flexible, transparent, and time-saving solution.
What was the problem before ZenOne?
So before we started using Zen, the previous practice owner was mainly using Henry Schein and just kind of evaluating the cost. When I bought the practice last year, I feel like our costs were way overboard. And so I was trying to figure out how can we cut down our supply costs. But also my back office was just very unorganized. And so we’re trying to figure out ways to manage our inventory. And so then I started looking up different solutions. Went through all the Facebook, the dental Facebook groups, and a lot of people were mentioning Zen. And so that’s when I started looking for an option. And then I reached out to you. I think I reached out to you directly. Yeah.
What was your initial reaction when you found ZenOne?
So when I first heard about it, I was like, okay, this sounds like. It sounds like a really good solution. The fact that we’re able to search and work with multiple vendors at a time versus kind of almost being married to a specific vendor. I thought that was a really cool idea. And so I was super intrigued by it.
What was the process like for getting started with ZenOne?
Yeah, it was super easy. I think I reached out to you directly and then we met up, like, super quick. After that, you came in, like into my office and we pretty much worked one on one to kind of. And you really helped me to kind of get everything set up. And within a couple, I think it was within a week or so, we were ready to go.
What was the final result after you started using ZenOne?
I love using it. I think it saves me so much time. Versus before, you might be searching through multiple different vendors, but now I just go to Zen quickly search the product that I’m looking for. The search is super quick. The other software that we used to use, it takes for forever to populate search results. And so Zen is super quick. We can compare versus the prices of different vendors, and then I can quickly check my order history and reorder the same things. And it also just helps keep our inventory more streamlined.
